    A rumour I heard...

    Shalom

I really really want to visit Israel as it is such a beautiful place as well as the fact that I am doing a very important research as part of my studies (I am a University student). But I have heard that the Israeli authority immediately turn back British citizens that are pakistani?! It could very much be false but if so why?

Another question is about the electrical appliances, since in Britain we also have 3 pins do I need to worry about my things blowing up? Or will I need special adapters?

    Thank You Very Much!

    Shalom,

Indeed, one has to be careful facing rumors.

I have never heard of someone being turned back and who is Pakistani for no reasons and just because of his origin.

However, your rumor comes from the fact that in 2003 2 British of Pakistani origins commited a suicide terrorist (one of them succeded) attack at Mike's Place in Tel Aviv. Therefore the Israeli authorities or the airline you fly might be more careful and might ask you more questions but that's it. Unless you belong to a terrorist group there should be no problem.

     Good luck!
