Ben Gurion Airport and Muslim visitors

    Hi there

I wish to travel to Israel to visit Jerusalem and see the pride parade as well in Tel Aviv. My family's background is Muslim and I heard that I will probablly be interrogated intensly about my planned intentions in Israel and most likely be deported to Canada if I arrive in Israel's airport. I was wondering if this is usually the case. How often do passengers of Muslim origin come to Tel Aviv. Is it a waste of my time and money to even attempt to fly into Tel Aviv? Is it possible to get a security clearance while i still in Canada from Israel's embassy in Canada (im from Canada) so i wont have to go through lenghty interrogations in Tel Aviv?

    Thanks,

    Faisal

Dont worry if you do not intend to something,

they will could ask you a few questions, but not more than that...

unless you have a terrorist cousin or something like that,

no offense, but that could be a reason...

    ENJOY!

Muslims entering Israel are subject to extra security. It is easy to understand why. I do not believe the term "interrorgation" is appropriate. Assuming that your intentions are 100% appropriate just answer honestly. If you get annoyed or give security an attitude you will be on the receiving end of more questions. I also detect a slight amount of negative expectations in your post. It reads as if you are looking for problems. I suggest that if I detect it, security will too. Relax!! Muslims entering and exiting Israel via Ben Gurion are common. Israel's Arab citizenery all enter and leave this way. The Arabs who reside in Judah and Summara ( West Bank) all enter and leave this way. It is not a waste of time and money to fly to Israel. BTW you are not "deported" from a place you have never been. You are just "denied entry" and sent back to wherever you came from. I do not believe you can get security clearance in advance.
