    Passport Stamp

    Hi,

I just want to make sure if the statement below is currently being implemented. Has anybody done this?

As of July 2008, foreign passports no longer require entry stamps. Instead, tourists should fill out form 17L, which shall be stamped by passport control upon entry/exit. The form 17L will not be collected upon exit as it is necessary for the collection of tax refunds and proof of legal entry.

I work in the United Arab Emirates, that's why I'm asking.

    Thank you!

Not sure about form 17L, but I did have such problems with some customers of mine and found out you can ask your passport not to be stamped.

    It worked for them.
