As a Jerusalem based tour guide, I bring visitors to old Jerusalem every week. Travelling through Israel is as safe as anywhere in North America, and sometimes even safer. Yet one should take some causion when going to areas outside the green line, and when traveling at night to some places in East Jerusalem.
