Hello:  I am looking to get to the Holy Land by summer next year.  This has been a long overdue trip that I have been waiting a long time for.  I would like to go with a Christian group or travel with friends.  At this time, I am not sure.  I would like to stay in Jersuluem.  I would like to know some of the surrounding hotels in the area and perhaps the best location.  Any suggestions would be helpful.  I would also be interested in an exchange student program.

As far as the best location, you would have to decide that based on your interests and budget, but anywhere you choose in Jerusalem will be fine as the city has an extensive public transportation network that will enable easy access to any site.

Many colleges and universities have exchange programs and study abroad programs in Israel. Check with the office in charge of study abroad programs at your school for the most relevant information.
