It is absolutely absurd. ( The price was the same at a 3* ISraeli Hotel as at 5* Dorchester in London)_ We are tryying to support the country and the people in the North who have suffered attacks so many times but the few hotels up there make it impossible to do so.

If anyone from the Ministry of Tourism is listening, Hotel proces are too high and it puts people off.

Up to you - Israel will always have our support but it could really do with some common sense thinking on the prices ( and quality ) of its hotels

Thanks for Israel government for the rescue operation. I see that Israel people have a shock and this is our common disaster.

At the last year (Novenber, 2007) I had vacation tour to Israel Dead Sea and had excursions to Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Eilat. Israel is sensationally beautiful country! Before this visit Israel was far country for me, but after this Israel is near country and at this time I am friend of Israel peoples.

On the excursion I observed for the bus drivers and have two suggestions.

At first, bus driver - is not guide for tourists! He is only bus driver! Our bus driver entertained us on Jerusalem and Eilat roads and I see that driving is secondary job. This is very bad situation and this may be a reason for this road accident with my nationals.

At second, ALL tourist bus MUST have hands free phone equipment for driver! When we back to Dead Sea from Jerusalem and Eilat our bus drivers persistent speaking to his phones, holding phone at the right hand, driving only left hand. We back to hotel from Jerusalem on the dark time and our driver, speaking to the phone on the right hand, turning wheel and switching far/near light simultaneously by left hand. I invoked God's for us protection.

I hope that my post help you to make the tourism more safe.

Best regards your friend

I had the honor, neigh the privilage of being able to spend two weeks in Israel last October and it was incredible!! We went with a group called Zion's Hope, and the tour we undertook was fabulous. We started off in Tel Aviv/Jaffa and then worked our way around the country seeing Ceasera Merritime, Beat Shean, Dead Sea, The Sea of Galilee, the River Jordan, and we finished with four life changing days in Jerusalem. For anyone who is worried about safety issues in Israel, we felt perfectly safe, and had a wonderful time. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Views of Israel

Here is a presentation prepared by the Israeli photographer Guy Schachar www.guyshachar.com.

Valley of Elah- Not just a movie

Read about the place where it all happened, at
