Upcoming trip - do I have this right?

    Hi All,

Too keep this brief, can somebody tell me if my assumptions are correct??

Baiscally arrive in Tel Aviv Sat 11th July at 0500 - therefore only option to get to Jerusalem is by prebooking a Sherut for around $110?

Travel to Petra from Jerusalem Wed 15th - best way will be to get Egged bus to Eilat 4.5 hours and then taxi to Aqaba border then Jordanian taxi to Petra?

Petra to Tel Aviv  Fri 17th - same as before back to Eilat then Egged bus back to Tel Aviv around 5 hours?

If anybody knows better ways etc then please let me know - all help really appreciated!!! Thanks!!

HI! I'm not a tour guide but I'll answer what I know! You do not prebook a Sheruit. They are waiting at the airport and leave when they fill up. They then drive a circle dropping everyone at their destination--so you may get a mini tour of Jerusalem. They cost 55NIS per person ( today I got 3.92NIS for the $$) ==So I figure I just saved you around $75--spend it wisely, make a donation or something -:) You can either fly out of Tel Aviv to Eilat or take the Egged Bus. The bus needes to be reserved! You need to either be able to handle Hebrew and book from the website, or call Israel to book or hope that you can get a reservation on the 12th for the 15th. ( www.egged.co.il) Return is same, fly or reserve the bus
