    Touring the holy land

I am coming to Israel May 10-23 for a business trip and bringing my aunt who is 68 and slighty disabled. She uses a cane to walk.

We want to tour Jerusalem and the Sea of Gallilee area on May 16 and 17.

We are on a limited budget and private tours range from $400-600. This is too expensive for me, since I am paying all her expenses.

I was wondering if the daily tours of these areas are suitable for us. They are certainly more affordable, however I am worried the pace might be too fast.

Or should we attempt self guided tours and take taxis to from our Hotel in Tel Aviv?

Any help you can offer would be most appreciated!

To get the most accurate response to your question, I suggest that you contact the companies that operate the specific daily tours that you are considering and ask for specific information regarding their itinerary as regards to terrain, accessibility and the pace of the day.  There may be adjustments and allowances that they can make that will make the tour appropriate for your aunt.  If you are still concerned about participating in a day tour then, certainly, self guided tours are a possibility.  Many sites have excellent brochures and booklets available, as well as clearly marked and extremely informative signs and posters throughout the site.

We're looking forward to greeting you and welcoming you to the holy land.
