  • Re: Travel with kids to Hebron

Assuming you mean the Jewish community in Hebron there are kids on their tours all the time. It IS a lot safer than most think and probably safer than some Western Cities. If you are talking about getting on the bus and going on your own--you won't know where to go. Things are different than 20 years ago. I suggest you go with a tour run by ...

  • Re: Travel with kids Israel for Yom Kippur and Sukot

I suggest you try googling synagogues in Jerusalem and contacting them directly. Many have webpages. Also, depending upon where you are staying ( okay, the KIng David) there may be services in the hotel or a nearby hotel. Alternatively, if you reservations are booked--try contacting the concierge of the hotel for assistance. re: a/c it is now ...

  • Re: travel between The Sea of Galilee and The Dead Sea

It is perfectly safe to drive Highway 90. The area of West Bank you go through is totally under Israeli control. The only concern is if you are traveling during the rainy season. There can be flash floods.

  • Re: Israel trip July3 - August 3 2009

Having a stamp on a piece of paper may not solve all the problems for this OP. I believe that Jordan will stamp the passport only, not a piece of paper. If your passport shows you LEFT Jordan at the Israeli border--it is easy to figure out that you were in Israel. Check this further before you get yourself into trouble.

  • Re: Upcoming trip - do I have this right?

HI! I'm not a tour guide but I'll answer what I know! You do not prebook a Sheruit. They are waiting at the airport and leave when they fill up. They then drive a circle dropping everyone at their destination--so you may get a mini tour of Jerusalem. They cost 55NIS per person ( today I got 3.92NIS for the $$) ==So I figure I just ...

  • Re: Tourist with mid east visa stamped in my passport

If Dubai won't let you in with an Israeli stamp ( and I don't know about that--check it out) you will have a problem. Even though Israel will stamp a piece of paper, your passport will show a Jordanian stamp at the Israeli border. It will be obvious to the Dubai authorities where you have been. It is my understanding that Jordan will NOT ...

  • Re: Ben Gurion Airport and Muslim visitors

Muslims entering Israel are subject to extra security. It is easy to understand why. I do not believe the term "interrorgation" is appropriate. Assuming that your intentions are 100% appropriate just answer honestly. If you get annoyed or give security an attitude you will be on the receiving end of more questions. I also detect a ...

  • Re: GPS systems

I am not a tour guide--just a frequent visiter. GPS systems in English in Israel can be problematic. There is no standard English spelling for many places and if the GPS spells differently than you do....
